Cross-reference links

[Document index]   [Previous]Entry lists step 22 of 37 Power[Next]

Many entries contain cross-references to other entries, to which you are directed for purposes of comparison, or for additional relevant information. For example, in the definition text in the entry for Magian n. and a. in its revised version, you will see the word magus in small capitals, signifying that it is a cross-reference, and it will act as a link to that entry:

In this case, clicking this link takes you directly to the entry for magus. Such links occur throughout the entries in the Dictionary, forming a complex yet easy to navigate network of linguistic relationships.

Note that sometimes you may be taken to a results list, rather than directly to the entry for a word, if the target of the cross-reference occurs more than once as a defined term. You are then able to choose the exact entry you need.
